- Frederiche Christine Seidler is said to be a decendant of Christian Seidler (also Seyler), who was an immigrant from "Tyskland" (Deutschland/Germany). He was a "sharpener and surgeon" (Skarpretter og Kirurg) in Fredericia for 39 years, until 1719. He lived with his son in Embedet until his death in 1725.
According to family tradition there was a sharpener (skarpretter) Seidler who had the assignment at the execution of Friedrich Struensee and Enevold Brandt in ?sterf?lled, near K?benhavn, on April 28, 1772. Struensee had been physician to King Christian VII, then the lover of his wife Queen Caroline Mathilde of England, both of whom were convicted of plotting treason against the King.
The following poem was written about Christian Seidler, in german and english:
Christian Seyler bin ich genandt, ) Christian Seyler I am named,
mein Gl?ck steht in Gottes Handt. ) my Fortune is in God's hands.
Ich fang mein Werk mit Jesus an, ) I began my Work with Jesus,
mit Jesus ist es wohl getahn . . . ) with Jesus it is well enfolded . . .
